a shot in the dark

This "I Shot Myself" site is really cool. Especially its guiding philosophy.

"Is ISM porn, or art? Yes. But it's women in control of their own image. It's also performance art, it's fun, it's liberating, and it's Reality."

I don't understand why it is something I enjoy exactly -- the liberation and fun most likely, but I agree that there is something powerful about turning the lens on yourself in a brave, bold way.

I believe in feminism, but I would like to substitute "humans in control of their own image" for women. I understand the concept, especially in our sex media culture, but I don't think that freedom should be limited by gender.

A shot in the dark? A shot in the day? Anyone want to share?

I thought about putting a nude-ish photo up, but I'm not quite brave enough for that just yet. This silly picture isn't very "artsy," but I like it because it shows just how I feel when the sun comes out and the air feels like butter and even if I were blindfolded I would know that summer is running headlong, finally, towards me, for a big warm embrace......and when I wake up in the morning I'll be on vacation.

That's such a fun photo KM!

I listened to my sister rant about the whole "taking naughty pictures of yourself" and sending them on phones or posting them on the web not too long ago. I'm sure she doesn't even know about ISM, and she would certainly think that's terrible too. Needless to say, she doesn't know about Erobintica and probably won't for a long time.

Well, I could go off on a rant here, but I won't. Freedom should definitely not be limited by gender.

Oh, and that wig! - you'll have a whole portfolio of wig photos - ;-)
