Went on a frozen outing to the dog park. It's not the most attractive place, but there's a skate park there also and fun jungle jimmy stuff to play on. Lo and behold, we found beauty amidst the suburban blah -- a little grove of scrappy trees coated in frozen fog that made the branches look like something from the sea.
Then we came upon a field of frozen dickweeds. I dated a botanist once. He could rattle off plant names in Latin like nobody's business & it was so hot when he did that. I wish I knew what those crazy dickweed plants really are, but I haven't a clue.
After leaving the field of phallus, we stumbled into a grove strewn with Christmas balls, tinsel and silver rope in the bushes and on the ground, all scattered about like the remnants of a wild woodland holiday party.
While on safari, it's best to expect the unexpected, even in the most ordinary of places.
