If at first you don't succeed

"If everything seems under control, you're just not going fast enough." - Mario Andretti.

"If at first you don't suceed, pull your foreskin over your head (pronounced heed)" - Old Scottish parable

"If one synchronised swimmer drowns, do all the rest have to drown too?" - Steven Wright.

This Christmas, our family decided to host an art auction instead of buying gifts. I was dreading the project until I finally sat down the morning of the event and made the above mural. I had so much fun making it that I couldn't stop. I made two drawings and a computer enhanced photograph that day also.

There are fireworks going off all around town. Midnight will be here soon. As the New Year dawns, I don't want to resolve so much as wish. I wish upon a midnight star to be a little better at this task of being human and to simply let loose of hesitation and go for it, whatever it is.

And if at first I don't succeed, I wish to laugh -- laugh with a big, loud, happy sound, and pull my foreskin over my head!

Happy New Year All.

Hey!Happy New Year Everyone!!

Thanks for popping in. Max, hello! I checked out your blog. Very cool! I agree, metal rules.

BadAssKona, he-he. I'm not an artist. That's why I was afraid of the family art auction! But when I was at last covered with glue and paint and chalk, I realized I was having fun!

Have a fabulous day!

Well collaged! You radiate "fun" in every direction.

I love the "ex libris" plate with the balloon-aloft building.

And—galyaks!—my spamword is galyaks.
